FOUNDATIONAL SKILL-STACKING
Whether you're a total impro newbie or have a bit of training under your belt, our academy teachers will teach you all the foundational tools you need to improvise like an impro veteran.
This class will stack up your skills each week to make sure you have the right tools to take the stage.

Our teachers
Jon Walpole
Jon is a comedian, improviser and children’s entertainer based in Melbourne, with almost a decade of experience performing across Australia.
He cut his improv teeth through courses and performances with Impro Melbourne and the Big Hoo-Haa!, was a RAW comedy state finalist, and studied clown at Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France.
Ben McCarthy
Ben McCarthy has been performing as an improviser, actor and comedian for over ten years, and his debut solo show was nominated for 'Best Comedy' at the 2024 Melbourne Fringe Festival. He performs regularly at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Fringe festivals around the country. You can see him performing with The Big Hoo-Haa!, Impro Melbourne and The Improv Conspiracy.
